We came together to rethink how a supply chain works. What we want is chains that are sustainable and worker friendly, in the goods and services they deliver and in how they treat the people who deliver them.
The organisation and the funding
Catalyst Innovations Foundation
The registered organisation behind Just Supply, in Victoria, Australia (ABN 45 797 965 447), and the source of the funding that is building it.
Design, strategy and development

Paul Steele, Founder and Platform Lead
Designed the platform, including the set-up, security and data architecture behind it. Forty years putting systems into organisations where the technology was the easy part, and the process and the people had to change with it.
Implementation and anti-slavery practice
Spirited Consulting
Fuzz Kitto and Carolyn Kitto OAM
Leads implementation with clients, and brings the expertise that helps a real organisation put the platform in and get the best out of it. Thirty years of anti-slavery practice between them, and both are national co-directors of the Be Slavery Free coalition.
Ownership
Who owns it in the end.
A federation of five link cooperatives, one for each tier of a chain, each made up of the members at that tier. Voting weight follows member numbers on a log scale, which puts the largest blocs with the workers and producers. The three organisations above are building the platform to that point.
A faked record
If a trader fakes a record, the buyer above them pays for it
If a trader fakes a payment record, or a sub-contractor bills hours nobody worked, the buyer above them inherits a claim it cannot support, and that lands on its own Index score. At the origin, where the work is done, worker-controlled data and the workers' voting majority protect the record.
